Township Assessor: Dawn Plude

PUBLIC NOTICE: The assessment change notices are in the mail.  There was a rate of deflation this year of  -0.3% that will be applied to the taxable value.  If there was not a transfer of ownership or new construction you should at least see a decrease in your taxable value. 

The Board of Review will meet on March 10th from 9 am – 3 pm and March 15th from 3 pm – 9 pm.  If you have questions you can contact our assessor, Dawn Plude  at (231) 409-1827.

Make sure you check the Homeowners Principal Residence percentage located near the bottom of your assessment change notice. If you own and occupy your home or vacant contiguous property you can receive an exemption from the school operating tax.  Please contact Dawn Plude if you are eligible for the exemption and are not receiving it.
