Ethanol Plant Update
The Paradise Township Board has given their initial approval to NextGen Energy to pursue an ethanol plant on Summit City Rd. This property was zoned industrial over 10 years ago and is located just south of the railroad tracks on Summit City Rd. NextGen Energy is interested in this site but is still pursuing other options in different counties.
We will not hear from NextGen Energy for another 30 days or more whether or not they have chosen this site. The Township is eager to have this use in the township as we anticipate job opportunities, help for the local farms and our local economy if the plant proceeds.
