Recycling Bins
The recycling bins are now located on the EAST SIDE of the Paradise Township Hall site. This will be a temporary location until a permanent location can be decided upon. The bins will be located in front of the cell tower location, near the entrance of the township hall. Please watch out for traffic in the driveway area.

PUBLIC NOTICE: September 11, 2008

To the users of the Recycle Bins,

Please be advised that the Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners is considering terminating the Recycle Bin drop off sites at year end.

The surcharge of $9.00 a ton fee that is charged to the waste haulers is used to pay for the Resource Recovery Department that is in charge of the Recycle Bin drop off sites is due to expire on December 31, 2008 and the Board of Commissioners are leaning towards not renewing this fee.

The Resource Recovery Council has been charged with developing other funding mechanisms for this service for the past year or two and at this point in time has not been able to determine another suitable funding source.

Your comments and ideas are welcome, please contact your County Commissioner or attend the fact finding meeting on September 24th at 9am at the Eastbay Township Hall to help influence the future of this service.
